REMOVING DUST FROM OUR MEMORY

The Prague Quadrennial is unique in it’s format. This is one of the biggest events of theatre and performance design in the world.

Since 1967, once in four years, Prague Quadrennial explores and presents the most up-to-date trends in the field of performance design and architecture of the performing space. More than 78 countries from all over the world take part in this international event.

In 2011, for the first time, Armenia also participated in the exhibition, with the performance named “Removing Dust From Our Memory”

Theatre is a perpetual motion.

It is nothing else than repetition of the past, recreation and reinterpretation of images where action becomes possible only through the principe of performance. This motion is the point of intersection of two poles: the one being the director, the creator of time, and the other – the scenographer, the creator of space, either real or imaginary. The project was funded by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia.
